Project Overview

Poly Jin Ting Bay is a large-scale integrated coastal cultural and tourism development by Poly Developments 

and Holdings Group, a leading state-owned real estate developer in China.

The project integrates multiple functions within a vast coastal site, including outdoor promenades,

 resort hotels, seaside commercial streets, a waterfront visitor center, and high-end residential communities.
Its scale and mixed-use nature require a highly consistent and intuitive wayfinding system.

Scope of Work｜Design Development & Manufacturing

All wayfinding signage throughout the entire project was design-developed and manufactured by Buoyant Signage.

Based on the overall design intent, our scope focused on:
⚪Refining a unified design language across all signage

⚪Establishing a clear information hierarchy for intuitive navigation

⚪Translating conceptual designs into manufacturable, durable solutions

Unified Design Language & Information Hierarchy

A consistent visual system and clear hierarchy of information were applied across all functional zones 

to ensure users could quickly understand directions and destinations throughout the project.

This approach supports different user groups—including tourists, hotel guests, and residents—while maintaining overall visual consistency.

The project included comprehensive wayfinding signage for:

⚪Site-wide orientation maps

⚪Outdoor promenades and pedestrian routes

Materials & Manufacturing

Considering the coastal environment, the wayfinding system adopted:

⚪304 / 316 stainless steel structures for corrosion resistance

⚪High-durability surface treatments resistant to UV and salt spray

⚪Manufacturing-oriented structural detailing for stability and ease of installation

All signage was produced under strict quality control to ensure long-term outdoor performance.
